What's Involved and What's the Process ??
As you have made the decision to fix your acid reflux and associated symptoms, we need to see you either at one of our clinic room locations or via Zoom.
The process is straight forward from here. There are no magic tablets to take, no special techniques to try, we are going back to basics to resolve this issue, if there are no specific physical issues, then it's 98% a food problem.
We approach therefore this from a Clinical Nutritional perspective
The problem of Acid Reflux is mostly ( not in all cases) caused by gas pressure that starts much further down the gut in either the small bowel and most likely in the large bowel.
Foods ferment due to a dysfunctional gut environment that causes trapped air to travel through the tummy region, often causing bloating and IBS. As this pressure works up the system it hits the stomach area which contains a high acid environment. Back pressure pushes this air which has now become highly acidified past the top of the stomach into the food gullet or oesophagus where this high acid eats away at the tissue in this area causing nerve endings to be exposed resulting in that reflux or heartburn feeling.

It explains why you're likely here !
Reflux is nearly always part of a bigger group of symptoms and underlying condition. Watch this video to see if your reflux has progressed to a further reduction in your health as part of an established gut dysbiosis and fermentation condition
Process - 1st Consult
We will undertake the following during the first 1 hour initial contact.
- Sit down with clinician to find out about patient history and where condition would likely have originated.
- Perform in house food intolerance test to identify trigger foods
- Print out and collate customised protocols based on Food Intolerance Test findings
- Explain the food intolerance test findings and explain the general protocols of recovery including dietary changes and nutraceutical non prescription supplementation as required
- discuss on going protocols and if patient wants to continue with recovery program book patient in for follow up
Subsequent Visits
Several revisits may be required to check progress recovery including a body function analysis though measuring the response back from medically recognised accupressure points with specialised equipment that relate to different parts of the body, finalising with a re introduction of certain foods and a return to some of the offending food items at a later date as the gut biome returns to a healthy pro recovery state. Number of visits to be determined by clinician based on patient severity and recovery times but usually 4-5 visits in total are common.
When followed correctly our protocols offer long term recovery for the vast majority of patient with a total elimination of Reflux symptom.
